MyInsights Foundation course prepares me for which exam?

MyInsights foundation prepares students aspiring for IIT-JEE and NEET examinations. The course has been thoughtfully devised in such a way that they set the right basics for the students from grade 6 upto achieving their dream to become an IITian or a medical student. Along with these highly competitive examinations, the course also prepares students for various Olympiads like NTSE and Pre-RMO/IOQM.

What is NTSE?

National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is conducted by NCERT. This exam is organized with an aim to identify talented students and award them scholarships to pursue their further studies.

How is NTSE conducted?

The NTSE is conducted in two stages:
Stage 1 – It is conducted by the States and Union Territories. Students who qualify this stage, move on to stage 2.
Stage 2 – This is conducted by NCERT. Top 1000 rankers of stage 2 are awarded with the scholarship.

What is the eligibility criteria for NTSE?

This exam is for the students who are currently studying in grade X.

What is IOQM?

A. Earlier, the process to finalize the students who will represent India in the International Mathematics Olympiad used to be a six-stage process. There were two qualification rounds at the pre-regional level (PRMO) and then at the regional level (RMO). Due to the effects of the pandemic, the authorities have decided to combine PRMO and RMO in a single stage, the Indian Olympiad Qualifiers in Mathematics (IOQM), which reduced the six-stage process to five stages. This is conducted by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE). The purpose is to spot mathematical talent among pre-university students.

How many stages are there to get selected for IMO?

Earlier there were 6 stages which now reduced to 5, to be selected for International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). These are:
Stage 1 – IOQM (Indian Olympiad Qualifiers in Mathematics), that is conducted by the States and Union Territories
Stage 2 – INMO (Indian National Mathematical Olympiad), that is conducted at the National level
Stage 3 – IMO training camp, conducted at HBCSE
Stage 4 – Pre-Departure Camp, conducted at HBCSE
Stage 5 – IMO (International Mathematical Olympiad)
